Welcome to Fall 2009.
No class this week or next (28/10 and 4/11) but classes will resume every week starting 11/11 until 9/12. (That's 11/11, 18/11, 25/11, 2/12, 9/12).
Week 1 - Inspiration and introduction to Processing and interactive art.
Week 2 - Useful books and a reading assignment. Drawing in Processing using looping functions like draw() and using variables to represent numbers.
Week 3 - Critically thinking about interactive media; Processing: Reviewing variables, introducing conditional statements and logic (if)
Week 4 11/11 - Flow charts and the Interaction Design process.
Week 5 18/11 - ??
Week 6 25/11 - More critical thinking about interactive media; Processing: classes
Week 7 02/12 - Blogs, websites, project design, and putting our portfolios up on the web.
Week 8 09/12 - Processing: Classes review. Arrays and loops. Drawing a grid. A simple "secret square" game.
Over break - look at the game from Week 8's notes and the ideas for improving it, and improve it! For using images in Processing, there are notes from Fall 2008, week 5. Note any sketches you like, from Processing.org or otherwise. Check out the excellent Decode interactive art exhibition at the V&A museum in London!
