About Processing

Processing is a very nice way to create interactive "sketches" that run on the web and as standalone applications. It is extremely powerful because it is built on Java, a opensource programming language and one of the main languages used for creating software today.

Download

Download Processing from its website - newest version that we're using is 1.0. There, you will find a complete reference, forums for asking questions and searching for tips and answers. You will also find news, examples, projects using Processing, and information about excellent books to get you started learning it.

Tutorials

There are a few short tutorials that are worth looking at.

Dan Shiffman has some great examples, tutorials, and exercises.

Examples of Work

Processing Blogs is a compilation of the latest posts from websites blogging about using Processing. You can find good examples of projects, videos, and code by searching through the debris.

There is also Built With Processing which compiles a list of sites using Processing.

I also like Flight404's work and the Processing.org group on Flickr.
